The Cup has been years in the making, a conglomerate of personality, a shaping of community and real - life people. In 2009 Karen and Dave Rae had a vision for their at-times-rough little beach town - The Cup was born.
As a resident of Wisconsin/Myers and a few blocks beyond, walking into The Cup feels like an at home experience. With plenty of people watching, there was a therapeutic hue within this coffee culture - no pretense or judgment. Once the place was buzzing, in more ways than one, a de facto community hub, they decided to leave the shop in the hands of their capable sons, Calen and Taylor. They were joined shortly by daughter-in-law Regis and consider the next chapter complete.
Soon, food was added to their repertoire, and a little later after that, beer, rounding out an offering that keeps the people of the community fed, caffeinated and at times, JOVIAL ;).
As The Cup continues to chug along, like the trains it flanks, a space is provided for any and all, from 6:30am - 8pm. It’s a controlled chaos and something more than special. It's a real place, owned by real people and we think it shines through. Meet me at The Cup.
So we serve coffee, food, beers, etc. and beyond being good at it, we enjoy it! The fun doesn't stop at food and drinks though. We like to throw parties and special events too. You know, celebrate life and all that? You should come. You can literally do that any time but if you wanna get S P E C I A L, the events are your best bet.
